Friends were the earliest settlers in Plumstead and met as early as the winter of 1727-28,

Battle's History of BC, page 572. With no plumbing or electricity and winter heat provided

by a wood stove, the meetinghouse retains the simplicity of the original 1752 construction.

Plumstead Worship Group is under the care of Buckingham Friends Meeting. "Today's
