The original church stood on the hill near the abandoned cemetery.

It was built of logs, probably in 1747, the "Brick" church, the third structure at that place

erected by the Lutheran and Reformed congregations, was destroyed by fire. The

denominations then separated, the Lutherans building a new church and the Reformed

congregation rebuilding and occupying the Brick Church. The present (1923) date stone as

"Lower Tinicum Reformed Church-rebuilt A. D. 1908."
