Harrison, Elizabeth and Hannah Gill, Esther Rodman.
I attended school at Hulmeville Elementary which is now
a day care center. The school bus
would drive up my driveway to pick me up. Hulmeville is on the
Neshaminy creek down Bellevue Avenue from Penndel (South
Langhorne). Some of the creek side residences flood and often
can not be re built. Beechwood Cemetery is across the Neshaminy
up on a hill overlooking the town. Joseph Canby is buried there
along with other familiar names to the area. The original mill
is still there and I believe is still being used as a flea
market or antique business. The town has not really changed much
in the last 50 years, due in most part, because of it's
location. It is in a hollow of sorts.
