In the summer of 1870 Applebachsville and the Evangelical Lutheran congregation at the

Toheka (Tohickon) united with Saint John's at Quakertown.

The present membership (1887) is one hundred and twenty-five and services are held alternately in the English and German. Battle's History of BC (1887), page 643.
