The Tohickon church, Lutheran and Reformed, erected by Elias Nunemaker. The building previously in use was erected in 1866. Dedication: Anno Domini 1766, May the 8th, being the festival of Ascension, by me and Mr. Alfeuz, the Reformed pastor, the new stone church was publicly dedicated, on which occasion I preached on the text taken from I Reg., VIII., v. 28-29, and gave it the name Templum Pacis (church of peace). The Reformed minister took  his text from Isaiah, Ivi., v.7, the last sentence. Battle's History of BC, page 579.
