ELIZABETH GOELZ

ELIZABETH "BETTY" GOELZ of Springhouse Estates died on July 19, 2003. She was 93.She was the beloved wife of the late Otto Goelz and the loving mother of the late ERNEST O. GOELZ and his wife, SUSAN. she was the devoted friend of Erich Lukas;

She was a longtime member and past president of the Franklinville Ladies Auxilliary.Relatives and friends are invited to a joint memorial service for Betty and her son, Ernie at 1 p.m. on Thursday, at Gloria Dei Church, 570 Welsh Road, Huntingdon Valley, where friends may call after 11 a.m.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Samaritan Fund of Springhouse Estates, P.O. Box 901, Springhouse, PA 19477.Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, Willow Grove

ERNEST O. GOELZERNEST O. GOELZ died on August 11, 2003.He was the beloved husband of SUSAN GOELZ

He was the grandfather of TYLER and JENNA BROWN and JUSTIN MARTINA. He was the son of the late OTTO GOELZ and the late BETTY GOELZ.Ernest was a 1953 graduate of Lehigh University with a bachelor of science degree in engineering. At Lehigh he was a member of the Tower and Asa Packer societies and participated in the Lehigh Scholarship Program. He was class agent for the Class of 1953.He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1956, reaching the rank of first lieutenant and was a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves.From 1968 to 1997, he was the founder and president of MTI Corp., which manufactured equipment for the electronics industry.He was a member of Gloria Dei Church since 1992, serving as the director of the endowment fund for three years and as its chairman for two years and was the originator and meeting facilitator for "Initiative 2001."He also was co-chairman of Stewardship Team 2001 and was an opportunity ambassador from 1992 until 2003.

He was a founding director and board member of First Service Bank. He was also a member of the Executive Committee 341, the International Organization of CEOs, the Vereinigung Erzgebirge, and both Philadelphia Sail and Main Line Ski clubs.Relatives and friends are invited to attend a joint memorial service for Ernie and his mother, Betty, at 1 p.m. on Thursday at Gloria Dei Church, 570 Welsh Road, Huntingdon Valley, where friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Gloria Dei Endowment Fund, 570 Welsh Road, Huntingdon Valley, Pa. 19006.Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, Willow Grove
