WALTER JOHN GRABOWSKI of Green Valley, Ariz., formerly of Hilltown, died Aug. 21, 2003, in Sahuarita, Ariz.He was the husband for 43 years of CAROL ANN (WALTERS) GRABOWSKI. The couple married on Aug. 6, 1960.Born Oct. 20, 1936, in Philadelphia, he was the son of Cecelia Grabowski and the late Walter M. Grabowski.

Walter attended St. Joseph Preparatory School and St. Joseph College.He had been employed by Nicholson Fire Co. in Philadelphia and was the owner and operator of Walt's Home Repair Service in Hilltown.He served in the U.S. Army for 2 1/2 years and was honorably discharged with the rank of sergeant.Walter was a 4th degree Knight of Columbus and was a member of the Elks Lodge. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Walter's brother, ROBERT GRABOWSKI preceded him in death.Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 3, at St. Maria Goretti Roman Catholic Church, Cowpath and Derstine roads, Hatfield. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Walter's memory may be sent to the American Heart Association, 625 W. Ridge Pike, Building A, Suite 100, Conshohocken, PA 19428-1190.
