Jacob Earl Moyer

Jacob Earl Moyer, 81, formerly of Souderton, died Friday, Feb. 16, 2001 at the Rockhill Mennonite Community, where he had lived since 1973.

He was the husband of the late Marion (Kratz) Moyer, who died in 1985.

Born in New Britain Township, he was the son of the late Willis G. and Alice (Krieble) Moyer.

Mr. Moyer had been a self-employed carpenter and had special interest in crafts, painting, reading and music.

He was a member of the Lansdale Mennonite Church.

He was preceded in death by two brothers; Paul and Franklin Moyer.

Alice M. Moyer

Alice M. Moyer, 81, former long time resident of souderton, died Friday morning, March 30, 2001 at the Valley Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Coopersburg, where she had lived since 1999.

She was the widow of the late Abram A. Moyer, who died in 1999.

Born in Sellersville, she was the daughter of the late Clinton G. and Fannie D. (Moyer) Swartz>

She was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Swartz.

Interment was in Hillside Cemetery, Souderton.

Irene M. Moyer

Irene Musselman Moyer of Telford, formerly of Perkasie, died Saturday, March 16, 2002 at Lutheran Community at Telford. She was 101.

She was the wife of Harold S. Moyer who died in 1964.

Born in Perkasie, she was the daughter of the late Reller and Lena (Musselman) Himmelwright.

She was baptized in Ridge Valley Lutheran Church and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Perkasie since 1916.

Mrs. Moyer worked in the former Beidler Clothing Factory her entire adult life, retiring in 1963.

She was a member and past president of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary since 1935. She also was a charter member of the American Legion since 1923.

Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church’s Memorial Fund, 19 S. 5th St., Perkasie, PA 18944.

Clara A. Moyer

Clara A. Moyer, formerly of Bedminster Township, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2002 in the Lutheran Community at Telford. She was 91.

She was the wife Lando K. Moyer who died Jan. 18, 1996.

Born in Bedminster Township, she was the daughter of the late Freeman and Sallie (Wildonger) Johnson.

She was a 1928 graduate of Quakertown High School. She received her teaching degree from West Chester Normal School in 1930.

Mrs. Moyer was a school teacher. She taught from 1930 to 1944 in Algards and Yost, both one-room schoolhouses in Bedminster Township. From 1960 to 1975 she was a substitute teacher for the Pennridge School District.

Harley A. Moyer died Thursday, March 21, 2002 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. He was 70.

He was the husband of Alice G. (Ziegler) Moyer.

Born in Dublin, he was a son of the late J. Arthur and Grace C. (Megary) Moyer, and stepmother Lottie G. Moyer, who lives in Telford.

Mr. Moyer was a graduate of the former Hilltown High School. Prior to operating his current auto service business, he had been an owner/operator truck driver for about 15 years.

Mr. Moyer had a deep love for his family, community and country.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served from 1953 to 1955 in the Korean War. Mr. Moyer had been a resident of Blooming Glen for 27 years, where he owned and operated Moyer’s Auto Care. He was a lifelong resident of Hilltown Township.> Viewing hours will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 25 and from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at Hilltown Baptist Church, Upper Church and Stump roads, Hilltown. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Interment will follow in St. Luke’s Union Cemetery, Dublin. Anders-Detweiler Funeral Home, Souderton
