He was married to Susan SWOPE on 20 Nov 1848 in Buckingham Bucks Co PA. Susan SWOPE was born in 1830. She appeared on the census on 5 Jun 1850. She appeared on the census on 15 Aug 1870 in Plumstead Twp Lumberville Bucks County PA. She appeared on the census in 1880 in Solebury Bucks County PA.
