"Eduard Metzger" subject, was born in Ross twp. Monroe county, June 1844, son of Samuel and Cath. (Smith) Metzgar, natives of Monroe county.
The grandfather Christian Metzgar, was born in Bucks county, he married
Eliz. Strout, they moved to Monroe county. Mr. Metzgar married 2nd to Amy V. Kendrew, of Lackawanna county in 1885, widow of Christopher Kendrew and d/o Ephraim and Rachel Wescott, she had 3 children by her 1st marriage, Frank, married Lucy Cerry, George married Clara Everitts (children; Edgar, Rebecca,and Lucy) Christina married George Emmerson ffrom England (children, Emma, Crisfer, and Edna from the 2nd marriage, Oscar and Rachel.
