Anna C. Derstine

Anna C. Derstine died Tuesday morning, August 8, 2000 at Rockhill Mennonite Community in Sellersville where she had lived since 1991. She was formerly a lifelong resident of Blooming Glen. She was 91.

She was the wife of 61 years to the late Howard M. Derstine who died in 1992.

Born in Blooming Glen, she was the daughter of the late Samuel B. and Lizzy (Detweiler) Clymer.

Mrs. Derstine was a homemaker who enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening. She was known in Blooming Glen for the geraniums she grew.

She was a lifelong member of Blooming Glen Mennonite Church where she had been active in the sewing circle. She also sewed for the Blooming Glen Auxiliary associated with Grand View Hospital, Sellersville.

Mrs. Derstine is survived by three sons.

Viewing hours will be Friday, August 11, 2000 from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at Blooming Glen Mennonite Church, 713 Blooming Glen Rd. The Funeral Service will follow the viewing period. Interment will be in the adjoining Church Cemetery.

Florence D. Derstine

Florence D. Derstine, 89, of Souderton, died Thursday, July 26, 2001, at Souderton Mennonite Homes, where she resided since 1997.

She was the widow of the late Linford A. Derstine, who died in 1986.

Born in Bedminster Township, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Lizzie (Derstine) Rice.

Mrs. Derstine had been a seamstress many years at the former Dress Shop in Souderton before becoming a longtime cashier at the Deli Shop, East and West, in Souderton.

She was a lifelong member of Souderton Mennonite Church.

Interment was held Wednesday, in the Souderton Mennonite Cemetery

Lydia M. Derstine

widow of John Derstine, d. Apr. 18, 1947, in Bedminster Twp., Bucks Co., PA., aet. 77; native of Bedminster Twp., daughter of Jonas and Rachel Meyers Mill. Her husband for 36 years was Deacon of Deep Run Mennonite Church and died in 1932. Mrs. Derstine is survived by 104 survivors. Leaves c., Mrs. Marvey M. Rice, Mrs. Charles Detweiler, Mrs. Howard Overholt, Mrs. Harvey S. Gahman, all Perkasie, PA, (R.D.2); Mrs. Isaac Swartz, Pipersville, PA; Mrs. John Leatherman, Ottsville, Pa, (R.D.1); Isaac M. Derstine, Pipersville, (R.D.1); Howard M. Derstine, Blooming Glen, PA. Interment Deep Run Mennonite Cemetery.
