A lady named Mrs. Margaret Carey, died of fright during a thunder storm in New Hope some two weeks ago

Nov. 12, 1878, Forty First Vol., No. 12 Jefferson Davis, Jr., twenty-one years old, the only son of Jefferson Davis, died at Memphis on Oct. 16.

Near Quakertown, Feb. 2nd, Mary Rodenbock, aged 46 years, 3 months and 22 days.

Near Quakertown, Feb. 14, Caroline, wife of Whitfield Martin, aged 41 years, 4 months and 5 days.

In Mechanicsville, Feb. 23, Peter Ditmars, aged 55 years, 9 months and 25 days.

A Jealous Lover's Awful Crime The little village of Ferndale, a station on the Lehigh Valley Railroad, seven miles north of Bethlehem, Pa., was the scene of a terrible tragedy last New Years night, the murder of Miss Lizzie Davis by her lover, John Haddock, and the latter's subsequent suicide....

In Doylestown, Pa., July 14, Ella, infant daughter of Elijah and Emma Green, formerly of Lambertville, aged 7 months and 12 days

The Briefest Of Honeymoons Thompson A. Godfrey, a well-known citizen of Ocean Grove for four years and in his seventy-first year, was privately married Monday afternoon to Miss Kate Dubbs, a niece of his first wife, who died last Winter. Miss Dubbs was twenty-two years old, and had been Mr. Godfrey's housekeeper. The marriage ceremony was celebrated without the presence of relatives and in a tent at Wesley Lake, on the camp meeting grounds, by the Rev. Mr. Jaquet. On Tuesday morning, while watering the flowers in his garden, Mr. Godfrey dropped dead of paralysis of the heart. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church and formerly a real estate agent at Pottsville, Pa. He was the owner of three cottages here, including one of the finest in Ocean Grove, in which he lived. He buried his first wife next the Methodist church. She was the first person buried there...

Nov. 10, at the residence of Prof. A. Rittenhouse, Spartansburg, Pa., of heart disease, Mamie, only child of Eugene and Jennie Mallory, of Morrisville, Pa., aged 1 year, 2 months and 10 days.

Nov. 27, by Rev. C. S. Conkling, Edgar M. Worman of Rieglesville, Pa., to Helen Vanderbilt, daughter of Firman Vanderbilt, of Mt. Pleasant.
